The short version

You do not need an account to use this site. The one thing we ask for is a property address. We store that address alongside the report we build from it. We do not sell it, we do not advertise to you, and we do not use it to market to the owner of the property.

What we collect

The property address you enter. We need it to find the parcel and pull the matching public records.

The finished report. Each report is saved with the address you typed, the county, the parcel identifier where we have one, and the report contents. Saving it is what lets the same address be served again without rebuilding it from scratch.

A one-way fingerprint of your IP address. Explained below.

Nothing else. We do not ask for your name, phone number, employer, or payment details on this site. There is no account to create and no login.

Who else sees the address you type

Building a report means asking other systems where an address is. Some of those requests go out from your own browser; the rest go from our server. This is the full list.

Photon (komoot GmbH)

From your browser

Suggests matching Ohio addresses as you type.

Nominatim (OpenStreetMap Foundation)

From your browser

Backup address suggestions when Photon returns nothing.

County auditor parcel records

From our server

Matches the address to a parcel and its identifier.

Ohio LBRS and Ohio OGRIP (State of Ohio)

From our server

Locates the address when parcel data does not cover it.

U.S. Census Geocoder

From our server

A further fallback when the state locators return nothing.

Google Static Maps

From our server

Draws the map image printed in the report. Google receives the coordinates.

Google Fonts

From your browser

Loads the typefaces used on this site. Google receives your IP address.

Each of these is run by someone else under their own privacy terms. We send them an address or a set of coordinates and nothing about you.

The report link

When a report opens, the address you searched appears in the page's web address. That is what makes the Copy link button work and what lets you reload a report later. Anyone who has that link can open the report. Report pages are marked so search engines do not index them, but treat the link the way you would treat the report itself.

Your IP address

To keep one visitor from generating unlimited reports, we count requests and cap them at 25 per day. We do that without keeping your IP address: it is run through a one-way hash and only the resulting fingerprint is written to our database, with the day's count attached to it. Your raw IP address is not stored in our database.

Separately, the company that hosts this site keeps ordinary server logs for security and reliability, and those logs do contain IP addresses. Those are the host's records, not ours.

How long we keep it

Reports are kept. A stored report is reused for up to 30 days for the same address; after that we rebuild it from the current records. We do not automatically delete older reports today. If you want a report and the address stored with it removed, ask us and we will remove it.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information.

We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

We do not run advertising or analytics trackers on this site.

We do not build a profile of you across other websites.

We do not use the addresses people search to market to the owners of those properties.

Cookies and error reports

We do not set advertising or analytics cookies. If a page fails to load, a technical error report may be sent to Lovable, the platform that hosts this site. That report contains the page path and the error message. It does not contain the address you searched.

Corrections and removal

The public record itself. If an ODNR well log or a county parcel record is wrong, we cannot change it — it belongs to the agency that keeps it. Contact us and we will tell you which office holds that record.

Our copy. If you want a report we generated, and the address stored with it, deleted from our database, contact us with the report reference number or the address. We will remove it.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the change is described here rather than made quietly.

Independent service — not affiliated with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Reports compile public records. They are not inspections, evaluations, or tests of a private water system.
